How come Cho has no fangirls?

All the other famous killers have fangirls/Internet groupies. The Netflix Twitter account even put women on blast recently for saying Ted Bundy was "hot." But Cho seems to have struck out in this regard. No blogs or Tumblr pages declaring their attraction towards him.

So what is it about Cho that just isn't doing it for women? His bodycount was high and he wasn't disfigured or anything. Was there fangirls when V-Tech first happened?

Though he wasn't disfigured, I don't think most people would consider Cho to be conventionally attractive.

While I'm on the subject of Cho, was he even bullied? I've looked into the case and from what I can tell he had it pretty easy. He was let off the hook for his psychotic essays and wasn't even suspended for standing in people's doorways mumbling nonsense. There was one incident where he was told to speak in class and people laughed at how deep his voice was but that's not exactly rampage-worthy. AFAIK he was just a psycho off his meds.

Probably because women find him really hard to relate to and because he didn't have an appealing physical appearance to compensate for his bizarre personality.

I wonder how many of these fangirls hold any genuine affection towards Adam the way some do for E & D. Observing most of the Lanza fan-blogs on tumblr, the majority of them seem to be meme accounts.

I’ve actually seen some fangirls on Tumblr praising him and calling him “cute” and “hot” so there are a large amount who show affection towards him.

I wouldn't say it is strictly bc he was Asian being that Rodger was half Asian and I have seen many fangirls for him. I think it is just bc of how he looked in a general way. He also came off as more angry than "sad" or "pitiful".

I think because Cho was a weird anti social guy and women cannot really relate to him. Elliot Roder does have fan girls though.

Columbine is different because it was particularly relevant to people at the time, and probably remained the only one that had gain this kind of morbid cult for a long time. Cho was probably one of the seconds big mass shootings after Columbine, and it was too early for Internet fandom, shootings that followed then had internet to be discussed on.

Today girls who were too young or didn't care at the time of a shooting join an already existing cult, but given that no fandom was created for Cho back then, no cult can be joined (and so no blogs about it to attract people, few edgy fangirl pictures...).

I think with the media coverage back in 1999 and the very little online presence there was, people were able to make a fandom out of very little. Has any other school shooter or mass shooter had a Brenda?

Also if you read Nates interview, there’s another girl that was supposedly emailing him about knowing Dylan. However I don’t think that was followed up on but it was somebody from the online boards too.

Cho looks decent in some pictures imo, he just looks ugly in the main pictures the media decided to show. Virginia Tech seems to be underdiscussed in general, so maybe that's why he doesn't have as many fangirls as others do. I imagine there's some out there though.

The disinterest in Cho and Virginia Tech is pretty interesting, I suppose. In my own experience, I can vividly remember when Sandy Hook happened, largely due to the fact that I was in elementary school at the time. Even before that, I can recall the whole craze around Aurora -- the supposed "Joker" connection and all that nonsense. Hell, I can remember acknowledging Columbine at various points in my life and even the École Polytechnique shooting, no doubt made possible through osmosis... but absolutely nothing about Virginia Tech. I understand that it was a relatively big deal when it happened, but from what I have read, I feel like there was an inherent quality to it that would foreshadow this disinterest.

As for the reasons, obviously Cho's race is not sufficient to bring up. since more major shootings like Las Vegas have also failed to truly clutch people. The inescapable point regarding this disinterest, for which Las Vegas is a prime example, is a desensitization to mass shootings in general. But where does this fit in with the disinterest in Virginia Tech? Is anyone supposed to believe that this process of desensitization to mass shootings had already reached such a crucial point by 2007? Kind of. Yes, mass shootings were already very much a problem by then -- of course it was a significant problem even prior to Columbine -- but there's a more salient point to look at. Columbine and Sandy Hook are arguably the most significant mass shootings to occur in America because they were completely unprecedented. It is clear that any mass shooting, no matter how important it may be, will fail to grasp people unless it doesn't offer something particularly special by which most people can justifiably discuss it over a prolonged period of time. I mean, take a look at the Robb Elementary school shooting; would it have been as big a deal without the deplorable police response? Even still, there was an unsettling lack of attention directed towards it because Sandy Hook was already in people's memory. And of course I don't even need to mention Buffalo.

I know I am not making a revelation here, not even in the slightest; It is clear that there is a correlation between the impact of a mass shooting and whether it provides anything new that people can attach special importance to. It's just fun to discuss. Anyway, unfortunate for Cho.
