Why is releasing the images of the dead bodies after shootings going to change anything?

I read the article and it said that none of them were alive when the shooting took place, so they won't know that Dan R's parents apparently only knew he'd died due to the helicopter footage passing over his body at the bottom of the stairs.

Take a look at the the school shooting in Florida being broadcast on Twitter and Facebook. How many of the parents of the dead only found out about their child dying due to that footage?

There'd be an uproar if the police started passing out images of their dead bodies to the parents of the children who hadn't made it out of the building instead of taking their own photos and using those to help identify the dead.

What a weird campaign, but I do support them as it goes against censorship

There's...nothing....better they could come up with than that? I'm not exactly Mr. Insensitivity but I think that's kind of a fail.

It still wouldn't do anything. Do you know how many parents would be pissed off and heartbroken that their child's body is published.

I support this movement only in that I hope it will lead to more graphic photos of events being released to the public (since photos are hard to come by in the USA)

Potential mass shooters would probably find those pictures to be pretty cool! Not the best idea in my opinion.

What an egregious idea, preposterous at the least.
When the Suzano and Christchurch shooting happened, within hours of them being finished, video footage and pictures from both scenes were available all throughout the internet to the point in the latter case, websites were blocked by NZ cause they refused to take down footage.
