The sign, visible from the main entrance, is made of plywood and mylar and incorporates the school's logo (a rebel) and colors (silver and blue). The gift cost $500 and is marked as a donation from the Class of 1982.; (Photo By Dave Buresh/The Denver Post via Getty Images)" |

What do you mean by "our CHS"? How many Columbine High Schools are there? I only know of one.

| There’s a YA novel from the 80’s early 90’s and it takes place at a Columbine High school but it’s based on the east coast....
I think someone posted about it here _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. So the world's unfair, keep it locked out there. In here it's beautiful."

Didn't realize how far they parked from each other, did they do that so they would have a wide range of shooting kids escaping from both sides of the school?

| So, the picture I posted above of the school in 1973 was taken the year the school was built. The first class if I understood correctly was that of 1973-1974. Here are two pages I found in the 1973-1974 yearbooks showing the building of the school and its christening: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Didn't realize how far they parked from each other, did they do that so they would have a wide range of shooting kids escaping from both sides of the school? Yes, that is exactly why they did it that way. That's the orthodox tale, but I very strongly doubt it. Nobody saw them wait by their cars. At least one version of Dylan's notes say "go to outside hill, wait". Actually, both sides of the cafeteria, which is what people would be fleeing, is the orthodox tale, but there are only a handful of tables by the south entrance. They would just about all be fleeing towards Dylans car. The crossfire wouldn't do very much. On top of this, the idea that they knew the bombs failed and so they went to the stairs (makes no sense anyway) is false since they didn't know the bombs failed, they said the library was going to explode while they were inside it. Dylan, standing at the bottom of the stairs, could easily shoot them. The cars aren't just far away from each other, they're far away from the cafeteria. And what if their victims turned around? They're just gonna sit with their dicks in their hand in the parking lot? What about that side, the back-side, which is managed so perfectly by just placing yourself at the west entrance to cut off their escape, exactly as they did? I think it's far, far more likely the cars are far apart because either they felt that's where students would flee, after the massacre was over, out of the cafeteria, and out the main south entrance; or because say Dylan's car would get the cops/media/first responders first, then people would back away into the other parking lot, and they have yet another car waiting for them. Also, yes joebox, the fence was there during the massacre. Eric supposedly rested his gun on it.

"SEP 18 1973, 10-23-1973; Columbine High School; (Photo By Ira Gay Sealy/The Denver Post via Getty Images)" It certainly looks like it could be an older version of CHS. Of course, googling it only gives me "our" Columbine... There does seem to only be one Columbine High School. |

From looking at the floor plans, it would appear that view is from the teacher parking lot, which I assume was the former front of the school. Later they added the fancy cafeteria/library on the opposite side. There is also a very slight curve to the exterior wall on the right, which is shown in the floor plan.

You just gave me a ah-ha moment. I wondered why they just focused on the library and not just shoot other people that were fleeing or in other parts of the school. They thought that those bombs were going to destroy the cafe and the library. They both wanted to die and maybe they spent so much time in the library is because they thought it was going to blow up taking them with it.

Every time I see that fire truck in any Columbine pic my eyes instinctively move towards the ground to see if Rachel is lying there dead next to it.
