hitchhikers that committed crimes while hitchhiking?

I know (not sure if it is true, though) that a large number of murder victims are hitchhikers. But a question popped in my head: Did a hitchhiker ever committed a crime while hitchhiking?

It could be murder, robbery, or anything else that is a crime. It would be curious to know some cases of hitchhikers committing crimes while hitchhiking!

Stanley Dean barker - Arrested in Montanna in 1970 for killing a man he had hitched a ride with and then eating his heart after he had killed him.

Charles Starkweather and Carol Ann Fugate - during their killing spree they hitched a ride with teenagers Robert Jensen and Carol King. Before Starkweather forced them to drive to an abandoned storm shelter before killing them both.

Penny Bjorkland - Murdered a man in northern California in 1959.

Micheal Bear Carson and Susan Carson - A serial killer couple they committed their final murder in January 1983 when they were picked up while hitchhiking by John Hellyar who Susan decided was a witch and so an argument broke out between the group which ended with the carson's killing him.
