| I was looking at Eric's senior pictures and a couple of them when he's on the grass and the one where he leans up against the building, he has that "look" that makes the fangirls weak. I was wondering if he did that on purpose or if he had some sort of past modeling experience or something. Its not easy to master that look for pictures. Most people end up looking like a deer in headlights. _________________ "I'm in love with my sadness"

| Those pictures always give me the vibe that reminds me of the vibe I got when I read the "you pathetic fools" in his journal, and there's something in his eyes in some of them that's almost a gentle mockery turning into the "soon you'll be dead on the floor"-sort of thought.. you know what I mean? That little curled half-smile, ugh, it makes me want to strangle him. I think there was purpose behind it, a vague fleeting moment where he may have imagined those pictures would one day circulate in the news and such, but I also think that he hated getting his pictures taken at all. The poses might suggest relaxation, but I read tension in them as well that's pretty much Eric's version of 'deer in headlights'. |

| The only picture where I can see mockery in his eyes, is the one below and the serious one of the senior pictures. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Like most everything with Eric, I doubt any sincerity in his expressions in his photos, and I personally can feel some of the contempt even in the most innocuous pics. With him, everything was an affectation, lacking any real authenticity. |

| Ah, I don't read his stare the same way. Maybe there is contempt for others, yes, but I see a lot of distrust and discomfort with himself in some of his pictures ( http://home.eol.ca/~dord/eric_news02a.jpg ) while in others he looks deep in thoughts, quite retreated in his own mind (whether or not he has this mocking smile on his face) ( http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/03/14/article-0-0019AA6F00000258-642_224x227.jpg ). He has that same look of being lost in thoughts a few times during the ''cafeteria video''. When he decides to listen to somebody, he seems very attentive. Otherwise, his stare gives the impression of a guy constantly thinking, thinking and overthinking some more. It connects to what he says to his psychologist and what he writes in his diary. That's the way I read his stare: someone who always think a lot, constantly, and analyzing everything around him as well as himself. Sorry, I'm bad at uploading pictures here. It's not working, thus the links... A website that goes to some lengths analyzing Dylan's and especially Eric's pictures is that of Lear's Shadow. It dives into that ''stare'' of Eric as well. Thanks. I just assumed most people on here know about that website but putting it out there just in case, because there is a lot to be said about E & D's change over the years and the look on their faces in pictures. _________________ "Is evil something you are? A website that goes to some lengths analyzing Dylan's and especially Eric's pictures is that of Lear's Shadow. It dives into that ''stare'' of Eric as well. Here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Brilliant post, I loved the website and all the analysis, I never look those pictures so carefully and I now I will do it because definitely there is something more behind. The part: The sophomore picture suggests the evolution and entrenchment of this mask. Eric's eyes have become almost entirely guarded and watchful. And if it's sometimes useful to look at the left eye and right eye separately, because the optic nerves connect them to the opposite cerebral hemispheres, Eric's right eye, linked to the more analytical left side, suggests calculation, a constant sizing up, while his left eye, linked to the more globally creative right hemisphere, has gone quiescent, as though in suspended animation. And the last written in the Dylan's senior picture, have so many sense. The only pictures I analysed before a bit more, were the class pictures for the yearbook . There, they really seem to be thinking what the others not and even telling to the camera was about to happen even though the photographer didnt have idea. Specially in this one [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] This photo is quite interesting. Eric here looks a bit ominous. His eyes and smile are ambiguous in this picture. Although if you do not know who is in the photo, you wouldn't give it any value. So I don't think he deliberately makes this kind of expression. _________________ I just want something I can never have.

| I keep coming across all these interesting old thread :-) this is actually something I wanted to talk about!
When you first saw pictures of various mass shooters, various people of committed these crimes what have been your first reactions? I’ve been pretty clear my first reaction to Eric when it happened.Dylan looks really young to me. He looked like he was a regular kid that I would’ve went to school with. I thought Adam Lanza looks evil. James Holmes look like he had something going on with him he was not all there.
Also there’s been a analysis of pictures on and off over the past 10 or so years about Eric and Dylan’s pictures and hand writing. I read one person said she showed Dylan’s senior pictures to her friends and she didn’t know who Dylan was and she said he looked pure evil. I do not see that. _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. So the world's unfair, keep it locked out there. | I wanna know who said Dylans senior picture looked pure evil. He doesn't look evil at all to me... quite the contrary.
I think in the old picture of Eric with the cap and the flannel you can see some kind of curiosity or excitement in his eyes that you can't see in any of the more recent ones.

| Out of all the pictures we have of Dylan, his senior photos make him look the most approachable. His hair is maintained, he is wearing nice clothing, and his smile seems genuine. There are so many others where he looks disheveled or isn't smiling at all. _________________ Hold me now I need to feel complete Like I matter to the one I need

I agree I always felt like the blackjack video was taken around the time of his senior pictures. Because I’ve never seen his hair like that anywhere else but his senior pics BUT I think he had the trenchcoat he got for Christmas on. Which means it couldn’t be.... so then why does hair looks so darn nice. I mean it actually looks wavy and like he did something to it. I think he looks friendly and approachable in the candid prom pics. As for the evil cook left , it was someone who posted about their friends saying that I don’t remember exactly who it is. I’ve never thought he looked evil... Though his junior picture and in the serous senior picture he doesn’t look friendly. He just kind a looks like a moody highschooler.

Maybe the day of the photos he was feeling good and actually cared about how he looked. Or maybe it was all part of the plan, knowing that these photos would be circulated world wide after the shootings, making people wonder "What would make these normal looking boys kill".

| Whenever I see an older picture of Eric and Dylan I cannot help but think like you knew what you were going to do while you’re taking a picture. Dylan at Devon’s birthday party, that was the summer before 420 he was already talking to Eric about doing it. And he celebrated her birthday.. .. _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. He is so shy and awkward in that photo. Which is different than his Devil May care attitude from his senior pictures. Whenever I see pictures or videos from like a year or so before the massacre I can’t help But think wow they knew what they were going to do when that was taken. I’m sure their friends and family think that too. Every time they had a really cool movie night or went bowling and they may think when we were hanging out you knew you were going to try to blow up the school Didn’t witnesses say Eric had a stare like that while he was shooting? | |

speaking of minger, in her report it said Eric had a black baseball type of cap on at the top of the stairs, while brooks said it was unusual he wasn't wearing his kmfdm cap. Do we know if he wore it during the shooting?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] He probably lost the game. I have no doubt if his temper was bad at 15 it was probably bad at eight as well

Agreed, sadly the witness statements were a jumbled up mess right from the start. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] "We don’t have a ton of stories about Eric as a kid do we?" Except pictures & some statements of his friends. we have nothing unfortunately. Btw do you believe those "Psychopath " entries from REB? I take these hard seriously. His jo mamma jokes are corny as hell those were bad lmao | |

Those have given me a source of laughter for years. I like how they’re making fun of the actual jo mama jokes. I would love to know who made up what. it was him Dylan and Zach I actually don’t think he was a psychopath, And I do believe he wished he was.. I think he was looking at what he wanted to do as the ultimate mission a two-man war against everyone. He got to the point where he felt like he had no other choice.
