The Murder of Rachel Barber

Rachel Barber was a 15 year old dance student who was murdered on the 1st of March, 1999 in Melbourne, Australia. Her perpetrator, Caroline Reed Robertson strangled her to death in her apartment before trying to assume her identity. Upon being caught she confessed to the crime (including detailing where her remains were).

The 2009 movie "In Her Skin" was based on the case. Her then boyfriend Emmanuel "Manny" Carella sung the hit song "Don't Say A Word" about Rachel and her disappearance.
