What are some very lesser known teens who commited violence at school and attempted to kill a victim regardless of wether or not they died. Their punishment should be severe enough that they were incarcerated in prison. Note don’t post if they commited suicide after their act.

I don’t think Brenda Ann Spencer really
qualifys as a school shooter since she sniped into a building and she no affiliation with it. Would this make Heather the first school shooter; even if there was someone before her I doubt they would have shared the same destructive psychology.

Is David Black (1966) like the very first school shooter since he had bigger intentions in mind and was inspired by other massacres.

Roger Needham Kind of fits the profile of a school shooter with all the paraphernalia and his being loner. He was only sentenced four years; he basically got away with murder. This kind of short sentencing rarely occurs anymore. Most teens who are sentenced as a juvenile are at least held until their 21st birthday as with the case of Mason Campbell, Victor Cordova, Andrew Golden and Mitchell Johnson, and James Kearby. I guess the law just wasn’t the same in 1978. There was also some teen the son of a politician who killed a teacher in the classroom during class and point blank range and fled; he was commited to a mental institution and freed at a young age; this happens in the 70s as well I believe and in Texas.

Todd Dunahoo (Southeast Polk High) - he actually commited suicide. Not before killing a girl he had a crush on. Made suicidal statements to friends beforehand; and obtained his firearm from a stranger rather then from his father.

No, the first ever school shooter was Joseph Semmes, who shot his law professor, John Davis, at the University of Virginia in 1840.
