4 people (two men and two women) were shot dead in Mirny city, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It's been reported that 4 bodies with gunshot wounds were discovered on the 22nd of October, 2023, in a small house in the suburban area of Mirny. The bodies had remained in the house for 9 days before being discovered. 12-gauge cartridge cases were seized from the crime scene.
The main suspect was arrested today. According to media reports, the perpetrator is the 50-year old neighbour of the victims who frequently had conflicts with them. His name "Chernykh Viktor Mikhailovich" 59 y.o. (unconfirmed). He could be yakut as well since they use Russian names.

The main suspect of the mass murder of 4 people in Yakutia will be send to Moscow for a psychiatric evaluation
On the 17th of November, 2023, the city court of Yakutsk extended the detention of 59-year old Viktor Chernykh who was accused of murdering 4 people. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The detention was extended until the 22nd of April, 2024. The suspect will be send to Moscow to undergo a psychological and psychiatric examination in the Serbsky Center.
