What if one of the shooters had second thoughts and pulled out?

Not sure if this has already been discussed ...
What do you think would of happened if Eric or Dylan pulled out at the last minute and decided to not go through with it, how do you think the other would react?

Which one could have you seen pulling out and why?

I see Eric as the one having second thoughts on the shooting, if I am honest. I really don't know what I think Dylan would do if Eric pulled out. Maybe seek out someone else to go NBK with- like his halcyon girl. Or maybe he would just commit suicide. He was already deeply suicidal at the time and Eric pulling out of NBK might have been the push for Dylan to just commit suicide. He already planned to during the shooting. He knew he was going to die anyways.

It's hard to say because its purely hypothetical.
I don't think anything aside from them being ratted out and arrested would of stopped them.

Neither of them seemed to enjoy life too much, so it wouldn't shock me if Dylan killed himself and Eric ended up going rouge and committing his own NBK style shooting.
In a perfect world, they would of ended up graduating and realized that high-school means nothing in the long run.
Maybe they would of started dating and found the love and acceptance they were looking for, realizing life isn't that bad.

I don't think either of them really thought about it. NBK seemed so cemented to them both that I doubt they ever thought one would pull out. If anything, it was probably a rare thought. Maybe something in passing, y'know? "Are we really going to do this?"
