If you've listened to any interviews with his friends from New York, they were completely shocked to hear Eric was involved in the shooting. They described him as kind, while no one has referred to him as much during the Columbine incident. Some say something snapped in him and he drastically changed. What do you think caused this? The toxic school environment? Leaving his good friends he made in NY?

But what people often forget is, that Eric did not change after moving to Colorado, immediately. According to a lot of people he and Dylan were still quite normal during Middle School and during their early years at CHS. They did not start to express any aggression etc. until 1997.

The place could had something to do with his behaviour, but I think that it didn't change him at all. The experiences with people while the years passed, the maturity, what he started to see about the world and in the school and his interests could influenced too because he wasn't violent immediately after moved to Colorado.

His indignation from the perennial bullying built on anger and resentment for people, in general. That's why I still say that bullying played a large - but obvious - part in causing Columbine.

I think a mix of bullying and use of SSRI's (Zoloft and Luvox) changed Eric's personality.

I'm not sure I believe that (about the SSRI's) because wasn't his attitude already starting to go downhill and that is why they put him on Zoloft to start with?

I think SSRI's could be a factor. Brooks Brown did mention that Eric would go on and off Luvox so he could feel "more aware". That's unhealthy and it would mess with anyone's head.
