2016 Munich shooter David Sonboly got his name changed from Ali Sonboly to David Sonboly, does anyone know why?

I think that he was ashamed of being Muslim (which makes sense considering that he idolised Anders Breivik). He even chose the 22nd of July for his rampage which was the same date as the 2011 attack in Oslo.
