It seems since both Elliot and Adam had autism. And both made rant videos on youtube. And also since Adam was antisocial like Elliot Rodger he might have related to Adam in a way.

I doubt it. He already knew about James Holmes before Sandy Hook happened, and the rant "videos" were only discovered in 2021.

Also, in answer to your question, if we talk about inspirations, it is more likely that he was inspired by Cho-seuing hui, since he had an account with a name in reference to him, he made several comments in favor of cho, and according to him, Not having a girlfriend was one of the main reasons for cho
