Russian designer Artemy Lebedev insulted Beslan mothers (again)

In the recent interview with journalist Yury Dud Russian designer Artemy Lebedev commented the situation regarding the activity of public organizations like "Mothers of Beslan" and "Voice of Beslan" (these organizations focus on providing help and support to survivors of the 2004 Beslan school siege and their relatives).

During his first interview with Yury Dud (03.09.2018) Artemy said that "such organizations like "Mothers of Beslan" and "Voice of Beslan" speculate on the tragedy for the sake of political profits". He also added later that "Beslan mothers are simply selling their woe and it would be much better for them to bury their children and move on".

"Political profits: it's when someone takes an event which happened in the past (even a very tragic event) and keeps drawing so much attention to it like if such even is still relevant", - said Artemy in the recent interview which was published on the 1st of August.

According to Lebedev's words, "it's strange that at least 2 organizations focused on this event are still existing and organizing events, collecting money". "Why they are even doing this nowadays? They are selling their voice and add value to themselves in media space because they are united by a common tragedy". Artemy also characterized the activity of this organizations in a very insulting manner with obscene language.

"Charity is a very good thing. It's good when people are being helped. It's good when they get money they need. But "Mothers of Beslan" and "Voice of Beslan" are not simply collecting money for a new wheelchair bearing, they are also doing some very pointless shit", - said Artemy.

Aneta Gadieva, a representative of "Mothers of Beslan", called Artemy mentally ill and compared him to terrorists.

Many public organizations of Beslan demanded to prosecute Artemy Lebedev and boycott him.

It was a terrorist attack committed with AK rifles (as well as other guns and grenades). So by definition it was a mass shooting. Not only rampages can be classified as mass shootings.
