| Does anyone know anything about the drugs Eric was taking? I just know they were called Zolaf and Luvox. What were they suppose to do for him? Did he suffer any kind of side effects or withdrawal symptoms after he stopped taking them? Did they somehow contributed to his mental downfall? _________________ I have nothing to live for, & I won't be able to survive in this world. | I've spoken on this subject before and I have some first hand experience. Luvox is an antidepressant that effects the way the body metabolizes serotonin. They're actually closely related to psychedelic drugs like LSD (which strangely Erics dad accused him of taking). When someone's depression/issues aren't serotonin based or they're on too high a dose they can enter a state of hypomania. I've been in a hypo manic state before. Hypomania can make a person INCREDIBLY violent and some people even become suicidal because of it. I'm talking OCD level "always on my mind" violent thoughts. For someone like Eric with a pre-existing problem with anger a hypomanic state would be like a flame to a fuse. Brooks even claimed that Eric would go on and off his meds to "gain awareness" by jumping between baseline and manic. That's a very dangerous practice that almost certainly made Erics situational awareness and anger issues worse. There is no doubt in my mind that Luvox helped play a part in Erics downfall. | |

| I was on Luvox for a few years in my early 20s also been on Zoloft, it helped me with some depression issues but looking back I think it may have been the placebo effect because now I would never take antidepressants, I stopped taking all meds years ago because they are just a pile of garbage. I never had any violent or suicidal thoughts when I was on 100mg a day of Luvox but I can see how it would do that to some people. | |

Interesting. Can you tell me more about Eric's dad accusing him of taking LSD, I've never heard of that? _________________ ...Normal is an illusion. What is normal to the spider is chaos to the fly...
