I feel guilty that it's been 17 years and I/we am/are still fascinated by Columbine, which is exactly what E&D wanted, to be legendary

I'll admit that my fandom for Eric and Dylan is a guilty pleasure of I mine. Never will I ever condone their actions in any way however. Yet deep down a part of me wishes things could have been different for them and believes that they both could have been saved.

I don't think you should feel guilty. You aren't doing anything wrong.People have interest in tragedies and it doesn't matter how long its been.I think such interest is good.It helps keep the memory alive.

It isn't something to feel guilty about. You are not just giving attention to 2 dead boys but to 13 other victims. Keeping their memories alive.

As tragic as Columbine was, some good did come out of it. Police changed their mode of operations for mass shootings for example. And people Sue have come forward to try to help children who may be suffering from depression and homicidal thoughts.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Me too. Like you, I too am interested in crime and the major tragedies that occur. I like to know all the details, and I think that's why Columbine still holds such an appeal today, because we simply don't have them. Same goes for OKC Bombing and 9/11. I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all, but the general public will likely never have all the details and documents that weave each tragedy into a comprehensive A-Z narrative.

Interest in these events is also a way to honor the victims and survivors by never forgetting and for digging deeper, looking for answers.
