Were Dylan and Valeen friends? Did he spare her intentionally?

I haven't read the 11k because I don't have the patience but someone did and then posted 'highlights', apparently one person knew Dylan from seeing him before class started always talking to 'Val'?

No, they were not friends or acquainted but they do recognise one another in school and in class I'd assume. I am rusty as to how it went down with her in the library but Lauren was killed within her sight and she was screaming her heart out as heard on the 911 call and she ended up injured too.

I read some time ago (can't remeber where) that she pretended to die, so he unintentionally spared her, then another one where it said that Dylan got distracted and spared her.

This reminds me of that photoshoot/video interview some of the library survivors did as a form of reunion aswell and, Valeen was really inspirational on it. She had really good and smart words to say after Columbine about surviving and coming out strong and not letting the incident bring her down.
If anyone hasn't watched this you guys should. Also, do they all look good or what!

Jessica Holliday stated that Dylan talked to Val in class. I do think both Dylan and Eric talked to various people in class. Apparently Dylan brought cookies in several times.

But in any case I don't think they were "friends"
