| I would be interested, why the painter choosed exactly this shooters? Especially Jiverly Wong, which is probably one of the most fameless mass shooters, ever? |

| The dates are a nice touch. Would not mind having this piece in my home. |

The only possible reason I can think of is because it was somewhat recent... maybe? | |

| Personally, I believe that forgiveness is something that you have to earn. | |

Being Dylan's friend will probably haunt him his whole life, so I don't really think this is a good idea. Plus, what would you say even if you did meet him? It would be pretty awkward. |

| I don't like this mural. The 'forgive someone' message feels wrong.
I don't know who made this, but I'm willing to bet they were never involved in a shooting (or at least one of these painted).
These shooters are dead, they aren't going to want forgiveness. The victims may want to forgive, they may not, they don't need some artist telling them what to do. _________________ I had it all and I looked at it and I said 'this is a bigger jail than I just got out of'.

| I live in LA, I don't think it is still there but does anyone know where it is/was? _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. So the world's unfair, keep it locked out there. In here it's beautiful."

| There is a quote that I love that says, "Holding onto anger or hate is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."
I have learned over the years that forgiveness is sometimes for your own benefit, not necessarily for the other person's. I have had to let go of things in order to go on with my life. Hate and anger are very strong emotions, and can literally effect the entire body. I harbored a deep seated hate for a long period of time. It was a well deserved hate, yet the object of my hate didn't care, and was not effected by it one bit. That was when I realized I was only hurting myself. When I finally let go of that hate and anger, it was like a huge burden had been lifted from me. This may be slightly off topic, but still somehwhat goes with the vibe of the thread. |

| I felt for a long time that if I just held on to the anger and the hate towards people that had hurt me, eventually the universe would give them some sort of bad karma, but it just hurt me in the end. _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] While I do believe in karma, she can be a slow ass bitch at times. I have chosen to become karma on a few occasions over the years. Did I get in to trouble? Yes, but didn't regret one second of it. |

The only possible reason I can think of is because it was somewhat recent... maybe? Well to be fair Wong did kill a fair amount of people (13 to be exact). _________________ "If opportunities for role fulfilment fall far short of the demand by those capable of filling roles, and having expectations to do so, only violence and disruption of social organization can follow.
