Everyone's still trying to work the details out. The media is still in its first "Crank out stories with a shit ton of conflicting info and very little fact checking" stage.
So it will be a little while before we can start shifting through and getting any answers.

If the death toll is actually 17, then yea, it will surpass Columbine as the deadliest school shooting at an American HIGH school. Not to be confused with Sandy Hook (an Elementary school) and Virginia Tech (a college).

I was thinking about this before but I couldn't remember what the posted timeline said. When did the three outside victims get killed if he pulled out his rifle after he entered the school and dropped it before he walked out? Did he shoot out the windows or did the victims get shot inside and make it outside of the school before collapsing? I believe the sheriff specifically said that he was shooting inside and outside of the school and that one person was shot in the street but this was early on so maybe the facts have been adjusted as more information has become available.
