Subject: If you bought the Harris house Fri Aug 23, 2013 10:50 am
I know it was sold a few years ago, what if you were the person who bought it, knowing everything you know now what would be some things you would do?
IDK how well Jeffco tore apart the house but I think I would be looking in every nook and cranny I can find to see if there was something he hid that wasn't found, maybe a tape they made. Also I read that they said something about the backyard and maybe something buried there... I think we would be getting a new pool (To dig up the yard and search for their stash they said they had). If you had kids would you let them have Erics old room or would you turn it into a study or something else?

The first thing I would do is get the house painted back to its original color and then go on a search to find anything that was left behind from when the Harrises lived there. If I had children and they wanted to stay in Eric's room then I would let them.

Someone on Tumblr said that the house next to the Klebolds is for sale. Would anyone want to buy that house?
Personally I wouldn't give a damn about a house that belonged to a (in)famous person. If it's a nice house, I would buy it for that reason. But I can imagine that other people would find it very interesting to explore such a property. You would think the police would have looked thorough enough. Although it's still JeffCo we are talking about.

I'd paint it right back to its original colour, too, because the white looks awful to me. I'd probably dig up the backyard (hey, neighbour, looking for bodies? ) and strip the entire basement. I'd have secret hope that JeffCo's incompetence stretches to property searches. Would also get myself some ghost hunting equipment, you know, just to rule out every possibility known to man in the hunt for information. I'd probably turn the basement into a storage area rather than use it as yet another bedroom, though, unless there wasn't enough room in the rest of the house. I actually do like the look of the property overall and the area it's in looks pretty decent. Those are factors I'd ultimately find more important than living in the same house as Eric Harris. ;)

^^This. I wouldn't want to own that house. Don't care for the look (and I thought the original blue paint was very ordinary) but whoever here buys it ;), y'all can invite me over, I'll do a thorough paranormal investigation and we can then go on a treasure hunting expedition for any of E & D's overlooked hidden loot.
Now, Dylan's house, that's a pretty interesting property. I wouldn't call the house beautiful but it certainly has a mysterious character about it. No one can get close enough to it and the windows seem to have reflective glass outside. I've had dreams of being inside of that house.

Of course, if I lived there, I would open it up for Columbiners to come visit me. Anybody who had a fascination with the house could come and sleep in the basement if they so wished.

Its a beautiful house so anyone who buys it is getting a beautiful property.
I liked the blue so I'd probably paint it back that colour (white is hard to keep looking tidy anyway) the basement is just use for storage, unless I had a big family and needed the space.
This may sound odd but I hope that a really nice family have that house and not some Columbine obsessed people. I think enough happened in those walls that new memories should be attached to replace the old ones.

Yeah... I can see it now: Eric Harris' Bed and Breakfast and Columbine Museum for those Columbine obsessed tourists. ~Imagines~ the Tour guide bus stopping by the old Blackjacks location..

In all honesty, I would not want to live in that house. The house itself is too infamous for my comfort, and I personally do not like when houses are tightly packed in together because I would feel as if I wouldn't have a lot of privacy. (All my life I have lived in the country/mountains, so i'm very accustomed to living in wide open spaces with hardly anyone around). Although, I do find the house interesting, and I wouldn't mind staying in it for a week or so, and explore all the rooms/hallways that Eric once walked through.

A few years a poster on SBB or one of the other boards seriously contemplated buying the house and even toured it with a realtor. He said that when the Harrises moved out they did not completely clean out the basement bathroom, leaving towels and other effects.

I'm assuming they weren't allowed to take photos during the real estate walk through? I'm sure someone wanted to snatch up the basement bathroom towels as a souvenir..

Agreed. Those homes are packed close together like a can of sardines. Such is the majority of american suburban life.

Are you referring to wurmholeshadow? I believe he put a bid in for the Harris home but did not wish to discuss how much which is understandable. He also bought Dylans car.
Here was the video that was circulating around of the Harris home, found it on Youtube of all places: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] There were some photographs floating around online claiming to be Erics bedroom but i think they were deemed fake so i did not save a copy or make note of where i had seen them.

I remember reading somewhere something about a girl stealing a towel from the basement bathroom, possibly a rumor but i do remember reading it somewhere, more than likely in a past message thread.

Think I prefer Eric's old house better - mainly in terms of layout and it's spaciousness. The brick style isn't great but you can do improvements to make it look more updated.

Oh, so that was Wurmholeshadow as well. I knew he had bought Dylan's car and had seen the Eric home video before but didn't connect the two as the same person. Interesting! What in the world ever happened to that guy.. It's been since like 2009? and he's just fallen off the face of the earth. Thanks for the info.

Yeah he seemed to just disappear which is unfortunate as he seemed very dedicated to his research of Columbine. I know he was married and as far as i knew his wife shared his interest in Columbine so was surprised at the sudden disappearance. It could have just been another rumor on some of the old boards but there was speculation that he may have had access or knowledge to some unseen / unreleased information also of the basement tape variety. Again rumors rumors I'm wondering also if the "towel stealing" was true how none of us have ever heard from the "thief" and that somehow it hasn't ended up on E bay at some point.

I can understand why though, how could you prove that it was actually from that house?
It's interesting that Mr and Mrs Harris left some stuff behind. Maybe they were in a rush to get out of there as quickly as possible and packing towels were last on their list of priories.
Where did they move to does anybody know? I heard that they moved in with Mrs Harris sister for a while (I honestly can't remember where I read that) but I don't know how true that is.

It would be impossible to prove it was THE towel I just remembered reading it somewhere and wondered if anyone else had heard it. I also find it strange that they left items behind, even miscellaneous items which they could have easily thrown away. Some people on other boards claimed to know exactly where Mr and Mrs Harris moved to but never offered that information which personally i'm glad they didn't. All i heard was that they stayed in Denver, not sure how true that would be though.

Yeah I'm glad they didn't either, Mr and Mrs Harris want to be left alone for a reason.
