Sandy Hook parents have just hit Alex Jones with defamation lawsuits

Alex Jones has spent years claiming the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School ― where a shooter killed 20 small children and six adults ― was faked. He has claimed the parents of these dead children are liars and “crisis actors.”

Now, those parents are coming after him.

In a pair of lawsuits filed late Monday, the parents of two children who died in the December 2012 shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, say Jones’ repeated lies and conspiratorial ravings have led to death threats.  The suits join at least two other recent cases accusing the Infowars host of defamation.

Neil Heslin, the father of a six-year-old boy killed in the shooting, and Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa, who lost their own little boy, filed the suits in Austin, Texas, where Jones’ conspiracy-minded media outlet is based. Each suit is seeking more than $1 million in damages from Jones, Infowars and a related company, Free Speech Systems LLC. Infowars reporter Owen Shroyer is also named in one of the suits.

“Even after these folks had to experience this trauma, for the next five years they were tormented by Alex Jones with vicious lies about them,” Mark Bankston, the lawyer handling the cases for the parents, told HuffPost. “And these lies were meant to convince his audience that the Sandy Hook parents are frauds and have perpetrated a sinister lie on the American people.”

Bankston, of the Houston law firm Farrar & Ball, is also involved in another defamation suit against Jones, representing a man whom Infowars incorrectly identified as the Parkland, Florida, school shooter.

Infowars, Jones and Shroyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Alex has been spreading lies for so long. He's said things that go against what I personally know to be true, first hand. He's had to apologize countless times on his show.

He is not who he says he is. I hope the parents win. Jones is the reason people mistakenly believe that false flag events mean nobody died and everything was faked. People get harassed and tormented all the time because of him.

Let's not forget, he thinks Dylan was on psychotropic medication and nothing can convince him otherwise. He also believes in the rape theory lol great investigating skills there, Mr. Jones!

There are clearly actors in some of these crisis situations, and they seem to be green screened onto the scene. It's obvious when you've got even remedial experience in green screen editing. There are discolorations and outlines that don't match up and shadows on faces that don't match (if you have an artist's eye you can see it, too)

However, that doesn't mean people don't die. False flags involve real incidents that are taken advantage of to push an agenda.

Alex Jones is the original crisis actor lol that's why he hasn't been taken out. He's not really reporting on hidden corruption. He's stirring the pot to keep people divided. He does a damn good job, too!

Alex Jones may start to learn that his actions as the conspiracy-minded host of Infowars have consequences.

Family members of of six victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, filed a defamation lawsuit on Wednesday against Jones, who for years has peddled the false conspiracy theory that the massacre never happened. FBI agent William Aldenburg, who was among those responding to the shooting in which 26 people were killed, joined the suit.

The suit also names Jones’ Infowars contributor Wolfgang Halbig and Halbig’s associate, Cory Sklanka, according to a statement released by attorney Josh Koskoff.

Part of Jones’ false narrative has been that parent interviews conducted by CNN were fake.

“Folks, we’ve got video of Anderson Cooper with clear blue-screen out there,” Jones said in a 2014 Infowars broadcast. “He’s not there in the town square. We got people clearly coming up and laughing and then doing the fake crying. We’ve clearly got people where it’s actors playing different parts for different people ... covering up everything.”

Halbig has called the Sandy Hook victims “crisis actors” and has also questioned whether the Pulse nightclub and Parkland mass shootings in Florida took place, according to Koskoff.

In a 2015 Facebook post, Halbig floated a false claim that a father of a Sandy Hook victim and Aldenberg were the same person.

The suit joins a long list of others filed against Jones this year. The parents of two Sandy Hook children filed one in April alleging they have been harassed by conspiracy theorists because of Jones. Earlier that same month, Jones was hit with a defamation lawsuit for misidentifying the Parkland school shooter. And in March, he was hit with a defamation suit for promoting a conspiracy about a witness to the Charlottesville, Virginia, Unite the Right rally last year in which counterprotester Heather Heyer was killed by an alleged white supremacist.

Koskoff said in a statement that Jones “saw an opportunity” to profit off Sandy Hook tragedy.

“He went on a sustained attack that has lasted for years, accusing shattered family members of being actors, stating as fact that the shooting itself was a hoax and inciting others to act on these malicious lies,” Koskoff said. “He knew his claims were false but he made them anyway to further a simple but pathetic goal: to make money by tearing away at the families’ pain. This lawsuit seeks to hold Alex Jones and his financial network accountable for those disgraceful actions.”





Damn. Alex Jones is getting worked over with multiple lawsuits. Even an FBI agent is getting in on it.
