School CCTV cameras that captured mass shootings

Many high schools across America have exterior and interior security cameras installed and are likely recording 24/7. With that said, when a shooting happens, the cameras capture it. However, every time it does happen, authorities don't release the video, due to the graphic nature of it, which makes sense.

Here is a short list of some of the schools that captured shootings on CCTV (Minus Columbine).

Stoneman Douglas High School
Status: Partially released (so far)
Many CCTV cameras were operating on the day of the shooting. 70 different camera angles covered the campus. 12 of which were inside the freshman building. 5 different camera angles (7 if you count the earlier release that showed Scot Peterson's response towards the building) of the outside has been released, which showed the police response and students evacuating from the fire alarm, some of them running. No surveillance video from inside building 12 has been released so far, which would of captured Nikolas Cruz shooting at multiple students in the hallways, and also into classrooms. If it was released, it will most likely either be heavily censored, or will stop before the actual shooting started.


Chardon High School
Status: Unreleased
Some of the surveillance cameras in the school captured T.J. Lane shooting.  One of them captured him watching a group of 8 to 9 students while they sit at the cafeteria table and talk to each other, before pulling out a handgun and knife from his bookbag and started shooting at them. Everyone in the cafeteria runs out at this point, in which they can be seen fleeing in the adjoining hallway cam. In that same camera, a victim can be seen trying to limp away, which Lane comes up behind him and shoots him at the back of the neck. The cameras would of also show him being chased out by a teacher after he tried to reload.

Arapahoe High School
Status: Unreleased
The cameras at the high school were reportedly outdated and needed to be replaced around the time of the shooting. The video would of captured Karl Pierson running in the school with his weapon, and him shooting down the hallway before turning around and fatally shooting Claire. He then runs into the library and apparently hasn't been seen on the cameras since. Two security guards can also be seen running into the library and out. Claire was carried by a security officer and an assistant principle to a ambulance, which can also be seen on CCTV.

Perry Hall High School shooting
Status: Partially released
Images from CCTV footage shows Robert Gladden pulling out a shotgun at a cafeteria before firing two shots, hitting one student in the back. He was then quickly subdued. No actual footage of the shooting has surfaced.

Forest High School shooting
Status: Partially released
Sky Bouche entered into his former high school with a sawed-off shotgun in a guitar case and also a tactical vest in his backpack. After arming himself in the bathroom, he fired one round into a classroom, injuring a student before dropping his shotgun and surrendering to police. Only one angle of the CCTV video has been shown, and that's the entrance where Bouche can be seen running up the stairs with the guitar case. It's unknown if video exists of him shooting his shotgun.

Rio de Janeiro School Shooting:
Status: Released

CCTV footage shows both injured and uninjured students running out of a classroom that Wellington De Oliveira had open fired in, it then briefly shows Wellington before he goes up a flight of stairs where he is injured by a Police Officer and commits suicide.

I remember seeing that same attack video from a different camera angle on Top15s' countdown on scary school lockdown videos. I was unable to find the original video though.

Sandy Hook did have a camera monitoring the entrance but wasn't recording when Adam first started firing through the glass.

The shooting by Federico Guevara had shooting footage leaked/released.

SuccessTech Academy
Status: Released
The footage shows Asa Coon making his way to a bathroom to load the two revolvers he was armed with, then him stepping out of the bathroom and opening fire and students running, the rest of the footage pretty much just shows him roaming the halls and occasionally shooting into classrooms.

There was actually another surveillance camera in that store that would of captured Martinez's death. Here is a screenshot of his final moments.

Apparently it was taken a split second before he was gunned down by Elliot Rodger.

And while on the topic of Isla Vista, here is surveillance video taken at the pizzeria. The first angle shows many patrons huddling underneath tables, and the second angle shows 2 people running in to take cover.

Quite an informational thread. By the way, no wonder Asa Coon killed himself. That’s the most depressing, mid-western looking school I’ve ever seen. I can honestly comprehend how he’d just want to be done with that shit, by the time he was even shooting people. Makes a bit more sense as to why he only injured a few, and got no kills. From his perspective.

Supposedly not all—or even many—schools, keep cameras in classrooms, but is there any footage anywhere, of murders taking place in actual school rooms?

I remember seeing cctv footage of one of those Brazilian siege mask twinks rushing into his classroom with a knife and stabbing the senile old ass teacher to death while all the students rush out. I think he killed her and injured a few who where trying to escape.

Nice. Thank you very much. The children just all fall over themselves. It’s highly entertaining. It reminds you that you can scatter humans if you’re hunting them—sort of like zebra or deer—even if it’s only in certain contexts. A comfort, to be sure. Gunfire makes people panic and flee for their lives, and you can drop them with proper aim and placement of shots. It’s very different and more personal than something like a plane crash, and I do very much like this footage. In fact, I’m going to overanalyze its details right now. The finest species on our planet, reduced to cowering in fear from one jackass with a gun. You can’t get any more of a warm and fuzzy feeling regarding our hierarchy. But where is the murder? All I’m seeing are running children. Why didn’t he pull the trigger when he aimed it at that one guy? Why aren’t they dying?

The Colegio Americano Del Noreste video is easy to find, it's like one of the first things that Google shows You when You search about the shooting

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (Here’s some more of Suzano); I also recall seeing some of them perhaps entering the school, and some more comprehensive footage of shootings in general on a gore site awhile back, and I should’ve downloaded that or something, because that channel really had a lot of information before it was deleted. Demonstrably I do not have it. Or else I would post it here. I’d direct everyone there if that was still up.
