I have absolutely no source to provide, and this is all based upon memory, but I remember something about an Islamist terrorist attacking two schools in Indonesia with a machete and a stolen M-16.

Not to my knowledge, although there have been shooters who have committed shootings at multiple locations (ie. Cho, Elliot Rodger). Although not a school, Brenton Tarrant shot up two locations and killed a sizeable amount of people at both.

I feel that someone MIGHT attempt to shoot up two schools in the near future, as I seen some examples of two schools that were built pretty close to each other.

Not a school shooter, but a school stabber. Wang Xiangjun stabbed to death seven children, aged 7 to 14 years, and wounded five others with a kitchen knife at Zhuping joint school (竹坪联校) and Zhuping elementary school (竹坪村小学) Meitian (梅田镇), a town in Dongkou County, China on April 1, 1996, before being arrested.

Ivan Navarro, Killed 2, the School Director and his daughter in Valparaiso, then walked to another School and killed the director of the School again.
He tried to kill himself shooting himself in the forehead but survived and finally commited suicide in 2011

Adam Lanza was initially feared to have been travelling to a second school, due to the fact that a purple van was seen going past Sandy Hook around the time of the shooting.
