| I watched American Tragedy and I thought it was pretty good and sad
- According to Sue, Dylan was sick after he was born. Sue said she felt some kind of shadow around her, like he was going to bring sorrow or misery.
- New photos of Dylan was shown
- No shooting scenes were shown, Only the police coming and Tom + Sue leaving their house
- Sue showed her journal and read a couple of parts
- Dylans Funeral was shown; but only a reenactment
- Byron and Dylan's actors in the documentary had a few scenes together

| I too have just watched it. Overall it was a good doc. If you’ve never read Sue’s book then you may learn some new stuff, but if you have, there’s not “new” info. It was def her book as the “meat” of this doc. Lots of great personal photos shared in it as well. I could’ve done without the re-enactments, but thats a personal thing for me. I love the idea of teaching mindfulness and mental health well being in our children. It’s something I plan on looking into. If you get a chance, check it out. |

| I am actually looking forward to critiquing the reenactments lol _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. So the world's unfair, keep it locked out there. In here it's beautiful."

| So, is this documentary about Columbine? Or just about Dylan? I tried googling it and I didn't find any information. |

| First half hour or so is about Dylan/Columbine told from Sue's perspective, after that it goes on mostly about prevention and mental health. | |

| I'm watching it right now. It's a re-enactment of 4/20 intertwined with Sue's commentary and a bit of a documentary. I can't help but asking myself how that poor woman has endured more than 20 years of constantly being under the spotlight of the public eye. I would've had a mental breakdown a day if all of this had happened to me
also I finally get to see the cover of the journal that Dylan gifted to her... It's "The Scream" by Edvard Munch in all its glory _________________ GeoCities fangirl

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I’ll try placing it here. If it doesn’t link up it’s under the “new Byron and Dylan photo” thread. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I totally agree. She’s been living a realistic hell for the last 20 years. It is no joke how one day her life is happy and normal and the next it’s gone. All gone. She’s a very strong woman. I do feel she’s more sympathetic with Dylan in regards to the shooting, but that’s her son. She’s going to be protective of him no matter what. But despite all that I really do feel for her. I too thought it was cool to see the journal! I thought I was just being nerdy by myself. Haha |

| I enjoyed it. There was attention to detail during the re-enactments such as young Dylan brushed his teeth left handed and ate left handed. I didn’t understand why Sue Klebold was sitting in on that class of young kids. Didn’t make sense to me. I thought it was unusual that at the ending there was a disclaimer that Sue Klebold received no compensation from this project. She certainly has had a difficult 20 years. I do admire her courage and strength. I thought it was good. | |

I don’t see why she couldn’t of gotten paid for this documentary . It’s an interesting thing because many many people on the other side of tragedies especially Columbine have written books and have made money talking about their experiences. However even if Sue did take some profit to live on she would be demonized even more. She is not Dylan. She was also affected by his actions in a profound and horrible way. _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. | I don’t like how she cannot get paid for the things she does and how she has to leave disclaimers all over just so people don’t lose their minds. You’re right, she isn’t Dylan, and others have made $$ off of columbine or for telling their stories. But she would feel the wrath (excuse the expression) of many people if they even thought she made a dime off of being the mom to a columbine killer. I got the impression she sat in on the kids in the classroom because her story is the forerunner to this doc. I think she supports mindfulness in the classroom and I think they used her there to tie it in together. |

| I bet sitting in the classroom was hard for her. She wrote in her book that’s it’s hard for her to see kids and teenagers, Because she always thinks about one of their lives are taken too soon? What if they don’t reach their full potential?
I do sometimes wish she could have a little leeway and talk about Whether she is a grandma now and what that’s like? _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree.
