There was a very overlooked story in 2018 about a smoking bomb that was placed in Pineview High School, Utah. The bomb failed to explode, but was completed and placed inside the school, which isn't too common in US schools. The student responsible, named Martin Farnsworth, spray painted "ISIS is comi" (he didn't have time to spell out the whole message) outside the school. He also replaced the US flag at the nearby Hurricane High School with an ISIS flag.
