Get the most ugly looking glasses you can find, and there you go, lol. Sorry just think those are horrible looking glasses.

I don't think he did, no.
About the sunglasses, sorry but I don't know what brand they were. Apparently he did spend quite a bit of money on them and was upset when he broke them.

Ask Michael Caine, the glasses look like something he would have worn in the 1980s while filming "Blame it on Rio".

You're better off asking on a glasses/sunglasses forum (if one exists). I can't even fathom how many different kinds of sunglasses are out there. Unless they're made by Ray Ban or Oakley (which I doubt) you'll have to find someone whose a collector or just knows everything about glasses lol.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - This is part of an interview with Jamie Shofner. This is what she said about Dylan and his sunglasses. You can find the entire interview of page 4412 of the 11K. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

From Sue's book:
There was no manual for how to proceed in the wake of the worst school shooting in history.
Afterward, Dylan’s friends scattered like beads from a broken necklace. Not surprisingly, many of them suffered serious difficulties for years. Nate stopped by our house on his way out of town. He asked for an item to remember his friend by, a request that moved me, and I was happy to see him choose a pair of Dylan’s sunglasses—they reminded us both of Dylan, in happier times.
**Not sure which pair those were.

I'm pretty sure he did have contacts and only wore his larger, chunky glasses outside of school or in "eye emergencies". They were tapped together after he broke them and never bothered getting a new pair. I remember reading this, but can't remember where. I think Sue's book.

Kind of off topic but I always thought Dylan's glasses were inspired by Kaptain K's glasses in the music video for Vogue. Pretty similar aren't they?

Oval sunglasses were in style at the time.
Eric & Dylan were fairly late-90's mainstream despite the narrative they were odd balls.

I had always assumed his sunglasses were based off of Mickey's from Natural Born Killers.

Tea shade is the type of glass on some sunglasses, not a style of sunglasses.
Your wrong my friend. Teashade Sunglasses are thin, wire- rimmed sunglasses that typically have small circular lenses. Also known as John Lennon glasses it has nothing too do with the glass. Don't belive me ? Do a search.
