Yes i agree. Eric's power of expres​sion(IMO) is his eyes. At one point they almost pop out of his head!
You can see all the hatred and anger flow out quite easily and naturally.

Dylan can sure yell. But he tried to hard and messed up. His creepy ass smile is funny also. Erics eyes were so bugged out it just cracks me up.

True. They certainly do. There are parts of the Rampart Range vid that are chilling, as well. The one part when Eric says "Imagine that in someone's fucking brain." And then near the end when Dylan is breaking down the shotgun and he is pointing it at Phil Duran while he's getting ready to load. Duran is like "Let me get outta the way!" and Dylan is grinning like a stone cold killer. And THEN Dylan points the barrels of the shotgun at his own stomach while he is trying to shove in the shells.

He apparently did the same thing in one of the basement tapes, when he is pointing the shotgun at Eric while struggling to get it loaded.

A little insight into Dylan's homicidal/suicidal impulses, coupled with his awkwardness and less than stellar motor skills.

Lol @ the last sentence    I need to rewatch Rampart rage to look at the bits you mentioned!I don't like Hitmen for hire and RR that much. I guess they just remind me of who they really were - murderers. My favourite is Radioactive clothing - it's nice to see them goofing them around and acting like the kids they were.
Actually there are some bits in H4H that I like. Like when Dylan messes up his lines and grins, and then the next take he makes this funny sound at the end lol. Also when they try not to laugh when that boy thanks them.

Interesting question. I think he would've liked it as it portrayed him emanating anger and vitriol - keep in mind the REB persona - which was a far cry from the more subdued Eric.

When i think about it , ( I am glad you mentioned REB )Eric would not have seen himself as Eric on film. He would have seen REB ,REB the tough guy that no one messes with and probably admires the strong and brutal persona of REB.
I think REB would have felt proud of the message he conveyed to the world.

I think all of us have a "REB" side. Wanting to look powerful and adopting a sanctimonious attitude. I find it interesting that Dylan viewed "Vodka" as nothing else but a nickname. There was no alter-ego with Dylan.

Uhm...I don't agree: Vodka may be not Dylan's alter ego, but as I was saying a while ago on another topic, Dylan's story about the tough guy who massacres all the preps. I think in this story he shows his alter ego: who he really wanted to be. With the bad-ass attitude and black duster. Not the shy kid who can't talk to girls. There was just no name for his alter ego, or it must be "The God of sadness"

I forgot about Dylan's story too. If Dylan had a " nameless " alter ego , maybe he kept ( unlike REB ) it a secret and only thought about it on his own. If Dylan had told people that his " tough guy " character in the essay ,was in fact a mirror image of himself and was more than just a fantasy ,people may have laughed at him. Saying such things as :
" You ain't no tough guy Dylan !  You are timid and shy !  You do not have a strong personality!  You are just a kid trying to act tough!"

Interesting to note that that very same creative writing essay was found in his BMW glove box after the massacre. Some author speculated.. and I forget which one, that Dylan read through his essay the morning of 4/20 to psyche himself up into "the man in black's" badass frame of mind.
