Theoretical scenario: Michael Ryan was taken alive by the police

Hello, and welcome to part 2 of what if mass shooters were taken alive by the police? Today we will be going over Michael Ryan. In my opinion, he would be sentenced to life in prison and he would show a lot of remorse. I don't know whether he would have been deemed fit to stand trial though, because he suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. What are your guys thoughts on this theoretical scenario?

He killed 17 people. First degree murder in the UK would likely be 15 years.
17 times 15, would mean that just from murder he would server 2.5 life sentences, or 265 years.

He injured 15 or maybe more. Assault with a firearm would likely mean 5 years prison time
15 times 5, that would mean he would server 75 years, for assault offences.

Of course the UK hasn't had a Capital Punishment since 1964.
He would serve 3 life sentences in prison if he hadn't killed himself.

Ohh well. 3 life sentences regardless, i'm also pretty sure he committed arson as well.

He would 100% have got a whole life sentence, there was no actual proof of him ever suffering from schizophrenia.
He probably would have committed suicide in prison.
