At about 3 p.m. today eight kids at a bus stop in Philadelphia were wounded by gunfire while waiting to go home. As of now, none are dead. Police say there were three shooters wearing masks. All of the wounded are 15 to 17. About 30 shots were fired and one kid was hit NINE times.

Every single victim was male. To me, that sounds significant.
Maybe that is a rough bus line and parents won't allow girls to use it? But that's the only 'irrelevant' answer I can think of.
The reports say that there were 3 shooters and a fourth man was the getaway driver.
So my best guess: Gang/mafia/drug related shooting. Maybe those boys at the bus stop were all members of some group. Or maybe just some of them were. But it does not seem like a spree killing with someone shoting entirely random people.
Feels more like a gang 'hit' to make some sort of 'statement'.

There's hardly any real Mafia presence still in the US. This was almost certainly a street gang.

The local ABC News station in Philadelphia is saying police believe they now have the getaway car. There should be a press conference this afternoon.

One article says they had a .40 caliber Glock that could shoot full-auto. If that's true, that would explain some things.

The police are still looking for the fourth shooter. This was about 45 minutes north of where I live, so I've been reading about it. Two of the shooters had their bail set at SIXTEEN MILLION DOLLARS. Somebody call Kanye. Lol.
