Mass Shooters lives in prison/ after massacre?

I can never really seem to find any information on shooters after their trials are over, like what if anything happens in prison. Like do they turn themselves around, get even more violent, or just nothing becomes of them? I know most of them commit suicide but there is certainly a decent size chunk that give up. The only info I ever found was how TJ Lane escaping from prison for a little then was recaptured. I know most only care about the shooting an what led up to it but but what happens after also interest me.

Spree killer Daniel Gonzalez was very violent in prison, apparently attacking family members visiting him and even acting out how he stabbed people. He was very unpredictable, with several officers in riot gear escorting him to the toilet when he had to go. He died in prison after slicing his wrists.

James Holmes, Anders Brevik, Nikolas Cruz, Julian Knight and Richard Farley are all in prison, Dimitrios Pagourtzis is likely to be there as well.

I guess you could count Dale Cregan as well, since he tried to commit mass murder.

Kip Kinkel's been making the best of his imprisonment last I heard.

Nikolas and Dimitrios are in jail where they will remain until they are sentenced, then sent off to prison.

They're asking about their lives in prison, not just about mass murderers in prison.

I guess in the US, jail is before they are convicted (like remand is in the UK), prison is when they have been convicted?

Yea I could of been tad bit more specific about what was asking in general. I also heard some things about TJ lane being gay in prison and some other messed up things ( I.e. giving pedos fan mail he gets from girls) an other things but cant really validate it considering it came from his "ex bunk mate"

Allen Ivanov does not care much about the people that write to him and he lets other inmates use his JPay
