James Kearbey was released after 6 years in prison.This was largely due to him being 14 and unable to be charged as an adult for the crimes he committed.

Vítor Jorge was sentenced 20 years in prison, but was released at 14 years in prison, due to good behaviour, after that he left that country and went to Corsega, where he died.
Verlin Spencer got five consectutive life sentences and plus 20 years in prison for his 1940's school shooting rampage, he was released in 1970 and moved to Hawai and died there in 1990.

Tommy Zethraeus (killed 4 and injured 20 in a shooting in Sweden, 1994) was released from prison on December 2020.
Barend Strydom was released in 1992, despite being sentenced to death for killing 8 black people for racial motivations.
Denis Lortie was released, getting full parole in 1996.
Barry Williams was put in a mental hospital for shooting dead five people and injuring two others on 26 October 1978, was released in 1994, change his name to Harry Street, and was arrested again in 2013, due to dispute to neighbours and owning illegal guns and a homemade bomb and died in 2014.

Barry Williams did appear on a tv show The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door Season 4 Episode 5, it is on youtube if you want to watch it.

Although not mass shooters, John Venables and Robert Thompson (1993 Murder of James Bulger) were released from prison and given new identities due to their age. Venables has been in and out of prison since then.
