| What are your opinions on the 13 families of the columbine victims?
For me, I think its heart-breaking that each parent or kids had to find out their deaths on a newspaper, tv , or by a friend. I cant imagine what it was like on April 20.

| I only have sympathy for them. I can't imagine what it feels like to lose a child. | |

| My heart is with them always of course. I do have some opinions on Beth Nimmo, Rachel's mom... because of the movie and also how she has claimed for years that Dylan had unrequited love for Rachel and that is why she died...even though she has been told for years that it wasn't true. _________________ "And you know, you know, you know, this can be beautiful, you say you're numb inside, but I can't agree. | Nobody brings up any controversy for Brian Rohrbough? I don't think he had the right to tear the crosses down, but at the same time I don't think very highly of the guy that built the crosses--that guy was a huckster and a phony beeloney.
Feel pretty bad for Craig and Misty Bernall, poor people.
That 2005 movie about Dawn Anna Townsend apparently springs the Columbine thing on you without foreshadowing it and it's supposed to be pretty devastating, most people watching it apparently don't know who she or Lauren really were.

I forgot about all that. You are right they had no business touching Dylan’s cross or Eric’s. Also some families ripped up the letters. I had no idea that Dawn Anna was about Lauren’s mom I was shocked at the end.

I actually just watched it for the first time the other day. It’s true, there is no indication of what is coming up. It’s just all about Dawn Anna and her medical issues with a brain disease. And then there is a scene where she is dropping Lauren off at school and just goofy chit chat about the baby chick she hatched for school or whatever and she gets out of the car and starts talking to a boy. The camera pans out a little and he’s wearing a Columbine jacket. I knew what was coming, and it still was a shocking moment.

I think it would be interesting to have a movie like with with Dylan or Eric but you don't find out it is THAT Dylan or Eric until the day of, towards the end. About a regular family and the kid falls on hard times, having financial issues then one morning the son in his flannel shirt calls out in the darkness "bye" and it's Dylan....

| In all honestly, as much sympathy I have for Brian Rohrbough for losing his son especially in a violent way but how Brian has conducted himself post-massacre and even to this day is a lot left to be desired. | |

I would actually love to write a movie based on A Mothers Reckoning but we have no idea it is about Dylan until the end.

Could be a hit or miss IMO, not sure if general audiences would be down for that or not. _________________ "My guns are the only things that haven't stabbed me in the back." -Kip Kinkel

Some people are excited to work on it with me etc.. and some are like you are writing WHAT and it isn't an anti gun, shootings are done because of toxic masculinity, pro vegan film!!! who is going to watch it?
