Anthony Barbaro: He planned the shooting for five months, but only decided to go through with it 12 hours beforehand. He'd been feeling depressed for more than two weeks and felt that he had to go through with his plan that day.

Nik Cruz had thoughts about doing it for years.

Started planning about year before in 2017 after he got kicked out of MSD for fighting.
