Marivaldo Teixeira da Silva - attacked schoolchildren with a chair

Interesting case I found on Amok Wiki.

Marivaldo Teixeira da Silva

Da Silva was a Brazilian who wounded 18 persons at the Centro de Ensino Fundamental 1 school in Cidade Estrutural, Brasília, Brazil on April 6, 2015, before being arrested.

Attack
Early before the attack 33-year-old Teixeira attempted to enter a house with a knife, stabbing the owner who tried to stop him. The owner got injured in the hands. Enraged people tried to beat him but he runned. Teixeira then walked into the Centro de Ensino Fundamental 1 school, he was impeded by the watchman from entering the school. Teixeira then grabbed a chair and got into a scuffle with the watchman, injuring him. After gaining acess to the facility he battered the children and teachers with the chair, wounding two teachers and 14 students before being subdued and arrested. Teixeira, had a criminal record. Additionally, other 25 people were injured in the panic.

Huh, never heard of this one, I wonder if there is full footage of it ? Also I'm surprised he managed to injure that many with only a chair

Here's the video. It shows him hitting children with chairs, and shows students throwing rocks at him. One thing that surprised me is that the watchman is running from Marivaldo in the beginning.

I remember watching this on television.

It may be because of your country, I don't know if I am correct about that. I have the video which shows him battering the children in my computer. Do you want the video? I can send to you.

After reading some news articles, I speculate that he maybe was wanting to hide in the school after the attempted beating, but got into a argument with the watchman, and then started beating him first with the chair, then intruded the school and beat the children and teachers. But a simpler theory was that he was simple drunk. Given that he had already trouble with authorities four times, I think the attack was spontaneous.
