Has anyone else seen this footage? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] It shows Klebold working with some sound equipment, more than likely a microphone whilst he looks up on the stage as a student twirls their coat, then it switches to someone walking in and getting rubbed by a guy with a duster (cleaning) next to a girl. It then shows Klebold walking in, wearing his duster (clothing) and the person rubs him with the cleaning duster, and he turns around, stares at the person for a little bit before he walks off, the girl turning around laughing.

Yeah, that footage has been around forever. I personally don't think this was anything more then a harmless spur of the moment gesture for a lighthearted laugh. The first kid seemed to chuckle a bit like "did this kid really just dust me off ", yet Dylan seemed pretty pissed to the point where it looks like the kid was shocked at his reaction.
Maybe Dylan thought he put something on his shoulder or something, since he was facing away when it happened, who knows.
The Frankenstein roast was filmed in the same area, showing Dylan could have a lighthearted side when he wanted to.
Dylan: Damn good job. Brooks, you were ugly shit. And that’s hard to beat, with the way you look normally Brooks: I was uglier than I even am usually. Dylan: Don’t get fire within twenty feet of the pants. There were about thirty different chemicals put into that. Brooks: Zach, how did this guy do on sound? Zach: Oh, he sucked. Dylan: Thank you! Zach: And everybody was crying about it, because it was late. Dylan: Yeah, yeah. I’d like to bring forth attention to this, actually - for three years now, I’ve been doing this job. Just a guess here, but I think I know what I’m doing…” Brooks: Okay, shut up.
[Talking about Mrs. Caruthers] Brooks: You’re losing your entire sound and light crew. This will be the last play we get to do with you. Dylan: Hey, Mrs. C, next Saturday - big ol. Heineken, Miller… We need you. Brooks: From the people who have been working with you the longest, we want to say, very beautiful job with all the plays. Dylan: Very well done. All of these kids over the years. I don’t know how, but… you put the whole thing together. Brooks: You’ve taught us how to work on our own. We really did this play on our own, and it was fantastic. And we owe it to you, Mrs.C

I’ll see if I can find it
I think Dylan’s reaction to the dusting is a bit of proof that there was some sort of bullying or harassment by people. He perceived disrespect from someone he didn’t know, he felt he was being antagonistic.
If it was Zach or Devon he’d have a much different reaction

Not a fan of the girl who starts laughing when Dylan dusts his jacket off. Typical bitchy female. That experience probably reinforced Dylan's conviction to go NBK. "I can't even mind my own business without people starting shit."

Am I the only one who finds this dusting completely benign? I think people consider it bullying just because they interpret it from the point of the tragedy that followed.

I agree the act was very benign but as you can tell from Dylan’s reaction he didn’t take it like that. It’s just another one of those little things that you notice after the fact.

Well, that's true, but I'm defending the kids that were joking with him I don't think they had in mind to seriously mock him.
On the other hand, just now I remembered how he was very delusional thinking that everyone is making fun of him. For example, the restaurant situation that Sue described in her book when he thought some kids are staring at him. It's probably similar to this one.

The video shows that the boy who dusted Dylan was also dusting other kids. Everyone else found it to be playful; Dylan was the only one to overreact to it. I don't think the boy and girl knew how to respond to him because his reaction was unexpected. It looks more like nervous laughter than mocking. Nice to know you think girls are bitchy, though. I agree with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that it affected Dylan differently because he thought people "all.set out to hate and ignore" him. It's not that boy's or girl's fault that Dylan felt that way nor would they have known he felt like that.

I feel like this is a good example of paranoia caused by the bullying Dylan endured. That kid dusted everyone coming past and was just messing around, but Dylan didn't know that, which is why it looks like he takes it as a personal attack and reacts so aggressively. It kind of shows that he's so used to interactions with other students being negative that he didn't even process that it was just a joke and jumped to negative conclusions.
Reminds me of how Sue wrote in her book about the two of them eating out and Dylan being paranoid about a table of kids 'laughing at him', when in reality they were just laughing amongst themselves and minding their business. Bullying can cause trauma, and Dylan's experiences definitely changed the way he viewed the world and interactions with others.

Honestly with how blurry the footage is and the fact that there's no sound at all, it's hard to tell if he's actually pissed off or just confused. I can't even see his face.

I don't think he was capable of being anything other than a socially awkward pathetic teenager who murdered other children.

since that's the way it played out, I agree, but I also think that he had potential to be more if maybe the circumstances were a bit different and he had gotten help
