Lasting effects of bullet fragments

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I thought it was really interesting.

It's common practice for surgeons to leave bullet fragments in shooting victims if they aren't an immediate threat to the life of the patient. But apparently those victims are now dealing with lead toxicity from those remaining bullets.
