Makes you wonder how bad their guns are

Some of the injured victims were shot more than 6 times but still lived. Not only that, some were shot in places that were supposed to be considered fatal. Here is a list.
Nicole Nowlen - shot 9 times close range by Eric in the abdomen and right shoulder.
Richard Castaldo - shot 8 times from a distance in the left arm, right arm, chest, back, and abdomen. I'm not sure who shot him. According to acolumbinesite.com, his lungs, kidney, and spleen were damaged and one of his vertebrae was fractured between the shoulders.
Valeen Schnurr - shot 8 times close range by Dylan in the left arm, chest and abdomen.
Patrick Ireland - shot 2 times close range in the head by Dylan. He was shot in the frontal lobe in the left side of his brain, which is why he's now paralyzed down his right side.
Lance Kirklin - shot 1 time close range in the face by Dylan. I'm glad he got his face fixed up. He took an interview on Rocky Mountain PBS last year.
Mark Kingnten - shot in the head and neck close range by Dylan. I don't know how many times, but all I know it was multiple gunshot wounds.
There's probably a few more that I missed.
Sean Graves - shot 6 times in the leg, abdomen, and back by Dylan.

Fwiw, "shot 9 times" means hit with 9 bits of buckshot, not standing there pulling the trigger 9 times.

Dylan's Tec9 pistol was about 15 years old (if not older) and had several different owners before him.

No problem, "girl with 9 gunshot wounds to the chest"  was popular to say on the news because of the image of 9 triggers, but it just meant what it says: 9 wounds.

Also, while officially they are unsure whether Eric or Dylan shot Rachel and Richard, it seems Dylan fired so few times outside and so many of them accounted for that at most one shot on top of the stairs could be his, and Sean Graves et al says Dylan fired down  at him (and Eric too), down the stairs. So, nothing like certainty, but pretty confident both Rachel and Richard's wounds were from Eric firing the carbine. In fact it seems like Dylan may have been busy tossing the pipe bomb into the parking lot while Eric was firing.

It wasn't specifically their guns, but the round those guns shot. 9mm is a pistol caliber, I think the death toll would have been much higher if they had a gun that shot a 5.56 or 7.62 rifle cartridge.
