Shootings with the most and least outrage

Which shootings caused the most social change and outrage and which shootings went by unnoticed?

Most:

Parkland: lead to the formation of the March for our lives and the passage of gun control laws in several states in its wake, spawned numerous copycats and helped accelerate the school shooting crisis in America

Columbine:was the first major public school shooting in America to kill 10 or more people, paved the way for school shooters decades later, is known as the most generic school shooting and completely changed school security and zero tolerance policy

Dunblane: lead to the banning of almost all semi-auto handguns and revolvers in the uk, national outcry, acknowledged by the queen herself, directly influenced the port Arthur shooter.

Port Arthur:the deadliest mass shooting in the western world at the time. Directly lead to the banning of most shotguns and rifles by the Australian government.

Christchurch: influenced numerous copycats in the 4 years since the event, changed gun laws in NZ Drastically, over 50 people killed by shooters who quoted or were inspired by mr. tarrant.

Least:

Santa Fe high school: came immediately after the deadliest high school shooting in American history. Quickly memory holed in less than a month.

Sutherlands springs church shooting: literally the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history yet nobody not from Texas knows about it, no gun laws changed and the NICS system wasn’t even addressed until the 2022 bipartisan safer communities act.

Red lake high school: despite being the 2nd deadliest public school shooting at the time, nobody even noticed it outside of Minnesota, even George bush didn’t acknowledge the shooting until almost a week later.

Everyone forgot about the Mississippi shooting the day after it happened.

Orlando (the shooting, not the shooter who was immediately forgotten by name because he was Arabic)

Least:

Yes, I've heard of the latter case too. It was a bit ironic because the media gave the latter even more attention than Izhevsk for an hour (at least in US and PL tv) then immediately forgot both cases after giving a minimal attention to the Izhevsk case. Very strange.

Oh yes, I kept confussing at what time they were, I remember they both happened the same day. By the time I was eating breakfast both had happened already

The Copenhagen / Fields Mall Shooting was instantly overshadowed the 4th of July Highland Park Parade shooting the very next day. All you can really find information wise are the initial news reports and it has been completely forgotten about even in communities such as this.

true, like people even got pictures of Nikolas Cruz taking shit, but there is not a single picture of Artyom Kazantsev that was taken in the last 14 years.

Chesapeake went from a fairly big story to nothing quite quickly.

Workplace shootings get forgotten very quick but school shootings get remembered probably because of the legend they play for generations and the fear it spreads to both the kids, teachers, and parents
