It will probably turn out to be unimportant anyway but I saw a post above saying something about another "incel" shooter so I figured that it might be of interest. I know that I didn't recognize it at first glance. It would be a shame if he was rejected by all of the girls and all of the boys in his school.

This looks like a real Columbine copycat to me. I would be surprised if he was an incel but you never know. In a sense, Eric and Dylan were incels, too.

(And aside from all of that, it's a bit ironic that he's wearing a hat with a peace sign logo in his profile picture. I can't wait to hear this guy's story.)

Also, did anyone manage to see or save the Youtube account that he referred to in the Facebook post?
YouTube is Comma Kazi. It’s the one with the kamikaze pilot. I’ve got a few playlists there.
A Google search shows that someone archived a Youtube account with that name but it doesn't look like it has the kamikaze pilot that he described so I'm not sure that it's the right account.

You know what makes me sick? In the next days, the debate about gun control will probably be back again, everybody will try to find somebody to blame, politicians will promise to prevent school shootings in the future, yet in a few weeks everyone will forget about it. And then, let's say in two or three months, the next mass shooting will happen.
It's been almost 20 years since Columbine, but nothing has changed. It's just sad.

Given the Columbine-esque shooting, I'm surprised the suspect let himself be taken alive. I believe Texas has death row. Given the fact he's a minor, can he be put on death row?

The suspected shooter arrested after a rampage that killed at least nine people at Santa Fe High School this morning is 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, the Galveston County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

A second person of interest was also detained, officials said.

Pagourtzis, a junior, shared photographs on a now-defunct Facebook page of a T-shirt that said "born to kill" and clothes adorned with German nationalist iconography.

He played on the defensive line for the school football team during his freshman year, and was lauded on a school website in 2016 for his "huge role" in shutting down a rival team's running game.

Although his Facebook page cites a connection to the U.S. Marine Corps, a USMC spokesperson said he is not affiliated with the Marines.

He is a member of a dance squad with a local Greek Orthodox church, the Associated Press reported.

A woman who answered the phone at a number associated with the Pagourtzis family declined to speak with the AP.

She said: "Give us our time right now, thank you."

Bomb technicians are at the home on Highway 6, which according to public records is Pagourtzis' residence.

Law enforcement officials have been at the scene for hours and told reporters to stay back because there might be an explosive close to the highway.

Law enforcement officials appeared to be gong in and out of a trailer next to the property, which Martin said has been "abandoned for years."

Officials have said they are worried that additional explosives could be in the area.

A sheriff's deputy close to where reporters were stationed would not confirm anything found on the scene.

I'm guessing the explosives odd school grounds might have been placed in areas students would flee to? The district was shut down due to police searching for bombs surrounding campus.

Thank you. I just turned CNN back on and they were saying that he said that he intended to commit suicide but also said that he "didn't have the courage" to do it so he gave himself up.

They are also talking about two law enforcement officers being injured so it seems that he didn't give himself up immediately.

Yeah, somehow school shootings have become a part of our society. There was enough time to do something about it, now it's probably too late.

It’s not just guns, why are our children getting so angry and disillusioned? Each school shooter seems to come from different backgrounds and have different home lives etc.. Cruz had a girlfriend but a troubled childhood , E and D came from good families but had mental health issues, plus there’s the toxic school environments... but everyone wants to just ban guns

I'm not saying that banning guns is the solution, but it's sure better than nothing (in my opinion). But the real problem is: Why do kids even WANT to shoot up their school? If we know the answer to this question, we can probably prevent a lot more shootings in the future.
