Some of Zeromancer songs remind me of Dylan/Eric..
Another song by Filter, Columind, is about the massacre too.

Korn-Blind.
My interpretation of this song is that it's about a struggle through depression and anger. Eventually It gets worse and worse until it's unbearable and your mind goes "blind". You become so overcome with misery that it's all you see in the world.
Definitely reminds me of Columbine.

KMFDM Down and Out always reminded me of Eric. The song has what sounds like military boots marching.
Also I just read Marilyn Mansons song Disposable Teens is also about Columbine along with The Nobodies (obvious) off the same album

I assumed Natural Born Killers by Avenged Sevenfold was about Columbine. Always reminded me of Eric.

One snap for the dying One click to end the day Another story with a mangled scene It couldn't happen any other way
You wanna talk about it? I'm begging you to walk in my shoes any time Watch the clock till you unwind You wanna cry about it It's making me consider that I've lost my mind The way I see you must be blind
So this is the world you left behind This is the guilt that consumes you
So die alone This is the one thing that I won't do So say your prayers Cause I ain't leaving here without you
Can't bribe me with money Can't shower me with shame Another killer from a broken home Until you cover me with manic fame
You wanna know about it? But I'm a be fucking with you every time Story broken, you're behind And when you ask about it? You can rest assured I'll give you my best side Seems we all have friends to find
So this is the hate I've been born to Full are the tales of the untrue
So die alone This is the one thing that I won't do So say your prayers Cause I ain't leaving here without you
And I'm waiting Waiting for the days to slowly pass me by (And all the promises I'll find) No hesitating, you pull the trigger now your story's left behind I know you want to see me fry Like my soul, you won't survive

"Blackbird," originally by The Beatles.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these broken wings and learn to fly All your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise. Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these sunken eyes and learn to see All your life You were only waiting for this moment to be free. Blackbird fly Blackbird fly Into the light of the dark black night. Blackbird fly Blackbird fly Into the light of the dark black night. Blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these broken wings and learn to fly All your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise You were only waiting for this moment to arise You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

This song makes me think about Dylan.
I'm drowning in sadness Falling far behind I feel there is just no way out Is there anyone there? Where am I?
Insanity and loneliness Tear my painful heart Broken heart keeps on going to beat But it never stops bleeding
I've been waiting for love to come Someone who wants to touch me inside Memories of my yesterdays
Careless words and deeds Masquerade of love Gotta find my way outta here
I was blinded by dark desire Over time I've been through it all I'm crying my share of tears
What can I do Will I make it through I must be true to myself
Voiceless Screaming Calling to me inside of my heart Voiceless Screaming Now is the time I got to speak out
Voice of faith, I'm starting to realize Now my eyes can see I have gone so far I'm feeling breath of life
And I'm looking for love to reach Someone I want to touch deep inside Light shines on my sight of doubt Don't be afraid Move forward one step Willing mind is what I have found at last
Voiceless Screaming Calling to me inside of my heart Voiceless Screaming Now is the time I got to speak out
Voiceless Screaming Calling to me inside of my heart Knockin' on my soul's door I believe in myself and trust what I do
Voiceless Screaming Pain of the past still hurts me inside Knockin' on my soul's door I climb the stairs that lead me to Heaven

Nothing More It Seems
Alone in the room, TV on Like the white screen his life's gone A moving shell, a wandering ghost A shadow of a man who nobody knows He hardly speaks when you say his name He's just embarrassed to say Anything to anyone In his mind there's no way out
He said he wants to die He wonders how anyone survives Being overlooked and trite
As seasons change And trees grow bare His reflection's a stranger Back it won't stare It's like everybody else Just too busy for his simple self
He walks 13 blocks to the city's cross Puts dust on his knees Prays for a god that doesn't leave It's lonely here in hell He prays to be somebody else In his mind there's no way out
In the sand he sinks to his knees Mobile world around, just out of reach Tears rolling down his cheeks He has to believe, believe in himself
Put up, hold out Break down, scream loud Wave fists, and shout It's done It's done Now stand tall, prove all Push on, now you see It's your life, It's your fight Live free, don't hide You've got to believe

Wow, didn't know that. I'm still not sure if that song playing on anniversary was a coincidence. You can't really say Columbine is "popular" in Croatia. You had a few articles mentioning it like "top 10 pictures that will blow your mind" and there was Columbine '99. class picture with Eric and Dylan pointing their fingers like guns at the camera. But that's it.... Maybe just a coincidence.

I heard the terribly sappy '70s song "You and Me Against the World," by Helen Reddy (I think), and it instantly made me think of E/D.

Kind of a weird one but the song 'After Today' from A Goofy Movie gives me a Columbine vibe at times. Maybe it's just me reading my interests into things.
"They've been laughing since I can remember *packs duffel bag* But they're not gonna laugh anymore *loads rifle* No more Eric the geek No more goof of the week like befoooooore!"
And then the bit at the end;
"I've got less than an hour and when this is ended..."

Not a song i'd listen to, but this was one of the first tribute videos that was originally on YouTube back in 2006 or 2007 and that was during the worst time of my life, during my final years in school when I literally had no friends and was insanely tormented by my family, teachers and bullies and I'd watch this video over and over, and it really helped me through those times. This song will INSTANTLY make me think of Eric & Dylan when I hear it now.

This song is one I've liked for quite a few years now. I was listening to it just before and a couple of the lines really struck me as to how applicable they are to E&D and the senselessness of their actions on 4/20:
"Dumb and cruel Cut before it's grown Lies so forced in bored control It learned all that it cares to know"
I think those lines sum up the situation so well. Their actions were undoubtedly senseless and cruel. I find the line "cut before it's grown" so sad, as I feel that pertains to E&D's murdered victims, as well as E&D themselves. E&D were still high school kids not far off from graduating with so much time likely ahead of them. So much opportunity for things to change. When you're a teenager, I guess you think you know everything, hence how apt that last line is.
Then I kind of had an epiphany and realised that this entire song could pretty much sum up the helplessness of what inevitably occurred, particularly from the subconscious perspective of E&D:
"Spoiled children soon to fall Freedom is the lie we live We will wait for tragedy And scatter helpless to the fire Sorry for ourselves Sorry for the things we've seen No one cries for help Waiting for the fire"
For whatever reasons, they felt compelled to do the horrid things they did. They pitied themselves for living in a society where they believed they were outcasts. They didn't push to seek external help regarding their feelings. Instead, they kept them hidden from the pre-4/20 world and waited for their final day.
"When all our toys are burning All these empty urges must be satisfied Acted outside Precious strength to turn the game to history Giving up, I'm blown away He said all I had to say The final days have come and gone Safe inside; there's nothing wrong Nothing in these words Sorry force of habit Could it be way over my head? Helpless to describe it"
When it was their final day, they carried out their desire to senselessly kill and seriously hurt people who had never even so much as known them. "Sorry force of habit" again, for whatever reasons, they felt compelled to do what they did. I reiterate that they had their lives ahead of them, but they were way in over their heads and didn't know how to deal with their emotions in a rational way. As I recently mentioned in another thread, I often wonder what E&D's thoughts of their actions would be if they could've had time to grow, mature, gain more life experience and have been able to fully grasp the gravity of the lingering pain they caused for so many people, including their own families.

Slipknot - wait n bleed VAST - that's my boy Mindless Self Indulgence - mastermind
Dylan VNV Nation - Dark angel
Eric Marilyn Manson - Man that you fear.
Most of the other songs have already been mentioned.

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Strength Through Music", by Amanda Palmer. She was inspired to write it directly because of Columbine, though it took her many years to complete it, and the finished song is more about school shootings in a general sense. More info on the song meaning and its production here. Very simple, sad, and powerful, with a haunting music video to boot (the opening is a bit strange, but bear with it, the rest is incredible!) :
Another sad one, the Scala & Kolacny Brothers Choir cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that some people may recognize from the Kurt Cobain Documentary "Montage of Heck". While I'm a fan of the original song as well, this cover just blew me out of the water. As someone else said in a comment section somewhere, it's like this version stripped away all the surface anger and disaffectedness of the original to reveal the real despair of the message and tone underneath. (I know, I know, SLTS was according to Cobain, nothing more than an attempt to "rip off the Pixies," but you can't discount how strongly many millions of people have interpreted it over the years). I made the mistake of letting this song come on while I had some photos up for research, and wow, I just burst into tears when that first lyric played. Reminds me Columbine as a whole, but Dylan in particular with the verse "it's fun to lose, and to pretend":
_______ Honorable mention to Mindless Self Indulgence They're a pretty off-beat industrial-genre band. Fast-paced, angry, tongue in cheek music that while fun to listen and rage to also makes me think of E&D and their mindsets quite a bit, even just based on the tone of the music. Excerpts from some songs where the lyrics are relevant:
"Prescription" (Reminds me of Eric)
I'm the doctor, I'm the patient Don't forget that, it's important If ya love me, like I love me Everybody will be sorry
Well I don't need nothin' before the show I don't need nothin', well that's not so I need something before the show Just a little something to make me GOOOOO ....
_______
"Witness" (Reminds me of both E&D, more so Eric -language warning-)
Son of a bitch God likes me I am the best F**k everybody else Suck on my d**k I’m perfect I am the best F**k everybody else (God likes me)
I need a witness to my life it wasn’t this way all the time Got money, got girls, get high, can you f**kin’ believe it? I need a witness to my life it wasn’t this way all the time No money, no girls, denied Can you f**kin’ believe it? No [x4]
I am born again hard [x3] I am born again (Son of a-) ...
_______
"Animal" (Same as above)
... It's animal, it's animal, It's animal, un-buh-leev-uh...bull! Tonight ... F**kin' incredible, Sense of smell exceptional I'm bustin out the medical drug, The theoretical thug!
With my guns, On the floor, And the fans, At the door, tonight!
_______
Another mention to "In Your Mind" by Built to Spill. As someone who has struggled with depression and who is very introverted, this is one of my personal favorites, though these days it makes me think a lot about Dylan and his rambling thoughts, how he had an entirely different world in his head that no one saw, and how that's probably scarily true for a lot of people in general:
The symptoms of our getting older The problems that say we don't mind That most of us never get over The memories mingled with lies
Coincidence gave a confession That no one's allowed to forget I don't wanna give the impression That predestination is set
The distance will increase the danger Where certainty's never enjoyed Regarded as equal yet stranger Embark, then embrace, then destroy
Observing the process will change it And afterwards even if you Subconsciously rearrange it It doesn't seem any less true
Remnants of thought disappearing And even transcending concern Disturbing but somehow endearing Conditioned to never unlearn
And no one can tell me to listen And no one can tell me what's right 'Cause nobody has my permission And no one can see in your mind
In your mind In your mind In your mind ...
_______
This all of course in addition to some other bands as a whole like Alice in Chains, Garbage, the Pixies, and of course all the bands/songs E&D listed themselves. NIN has become a particular trip to listen to because how intertwined the music is with case.

"Shame" by the Smashing Pumpkins is a major one for me. "When It Rains" - Paramore "Broken Wings" and "So I Thought" - Flyleaf "Leave The Lights On" - Meiko (This reminds me of Eric for no particular reason. I listened to this song a lot when I first started getting into Columbine research) "Man That You Fear", "Running To The Edge Of The World", and "They Said That Hell's Not Hot" - Marilyn Manson "Save You" - Kelly Clarkson (trust me on this one) "Happy The Hard Way" - Every Avenue "So Long Goodbye" - Sum 41 "Evil Angel" - Breaking Benjamin "Honey" - Hole "Farewell" - Rihanna "Stars" - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals "Psychopath" - Burn The Ballroom "Monster You Made" - Pop Evil (I played this in the car once with my mom, and she said "This reminds you of Columbine, doesn't it?" bahaha) "And All That Could Have Been" - Nine Inch Nails "Aftermath" - Lifehouse
I have so many more but I won't spam y'all I have an entire Spotify playlist dedicated to it
